Thank you so much to Nā Kalai Waʻa and ʻOhana Waʻa in Kohala and Hilo for a great four weeks on Moku o Keawe.
Hikianalia and Hoʻokela departed Kawaihae yesterday morning at about 10:27am, headed out the awa at Honouli for Kapaʻa, where they turned down and set course for La Parrouse. After an amazing sail through ʻAlenuikawahawaha and ʻAlenuihaha, the ʻohana made it safely through Kanaiʻo, Makena, Maʻalaea, Ukumehame, Olowalu and then Lāhainā. Moani took Hoʻokela into Lāhainā to refuel (while Hiki continued sailing) where they were met by Uncle Snake, Aunty Myrna, Archie and families!!! Mahalo nui to all who made Hkianaliaʻs, Mālama Honua, Mālama Pae Moku sail so successful thus far.

And a special mahalo to Bob Perkins – Hikianalia Captain and Trainer! We are all learning so much about Hiki because of your willingness to teach! Mahalo nui loa!
We ask that Ke Akua continue to bless all waʻa every where. We are all so blessed to have the waʻa be one of our greatest teachers. For now, many more miles to go, places to see and people to meet.
More than Adventure
Beyond a daring expedition, the Worldwide Voyage is quite possibly the most important mission that Hawaiʻi has ever attempted. As people of Oceania, we are leading a campaign that gives voice to our ocean and planet by highlighting innovative solutions practiced by cultures around the planet.
We could not have begun this great journey without your support, nor can we continue to its completion.
