Hikianalia Update | Mahalo Voyage Sponsors
As crewmembers celebrate the successful voyage of the North Pacific to California and back, more than 6,000 nautical miles of sailing aboard the Polynesian voyaging canoe Hikianalia, the Polynesian Voyaging Society (PVS) would like to acknowledge the sponsors and supporters that have made the Alahula Kai O Maleka Hikianalia California Voyage possible.

The financial support and services provided from our sponsors have allowed us to voyage the California coast to share and engage with students, indigenous peoples and communities who, together as a state, are leading the nation in their fight to curb climate change.

Hawaiian Airlines provides logistical support including a means for incoming and outgoing crewmembers to travel to and from the canoe. Employees from the airline also volunteer regularly in support of PVS events.
Kamehameha Schools is the educational partner of the voyage providing outreach opportunities so that learners of all ages can engage and share culture and knowledge in more than a dozen ports during the three month sail down the coast of California. The organization has also supported cultural exchanges which typically involves students and educators who travel from Hawaiʻi.
Olukai is more than a shoe company. Through Ama Olukai Foundation they are honoring those who preserve and celebrate the cultural heritage and aloha spirit of Hawai‘i. For the voyage, they are providing planning and logistical support, and they are sharing a robust media partnership that is elevating the visibility of the voyage.
Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority (HTA) is a consistent supporter of PVS events and outreach opportunities. During this voyage, HTA is helping PVS to highlight and share the leadership role that Hawaiʻi is taking to support and celebrate culture and environmental stewardship.
