plankton2By better understanding plankton, the base of the oceanic food web we may better understand where fish and other resources come from and go to. Plankton and larvae will be collected at different times of the day, night, and lunar by towing small plankton nets behind Hikianalia. Plankton can be observed (photo and video) using microscopes and iPhone cell scopes and images can be uploaded to the web for identification and or comparison with samples collected by throughout the world.
