Hikianalia Finds Nihoa / September 9

Nihoa, Papahānaumokuākea —

With east winds, Hikianalia departed Hanalei at about 8:30 am, on Sunday, Sept. 8.

At 6:30 am, on Monday, Sept. 9, the crew reported via satellite phone that they had Nihoa in sight and arrived at the island at 10 am.

On Monday evening, the canoe was on her way back to Kaua‘i.
