Hōkūleʻa Update | July 20, 2015

Hōkūleʻa and her crew of 13 departed Stokes Hill Wharf in Darwin, Australia this afternoon headed to Bali, Indonesia. The 930-mile voyage is expected to take about 8 days.  Under the supervision of Master Navigator Nainoa Thompson, Apprentice Navigator Lehua Kamalu will navigate the first four days to locate Ashmore Reef then Apprentice Navigator Jenna Ishii will take over for the remainder of the voyage.
