Aloha ahiahi kākou eia nō au ʻo Kaleo Manuiwa, once again aboard Hōkūleʻa on our journey from Aotearoa to Australia. We are broadcasting to you guys from our last night out at sea. We expect to be close to the land tomorrow morning, it’s only about 25 miles away. As we were doing yesterday and last night. We continue to be towed into Australia. The wind, unfortunately, is not in our favor, coming straight at us and we need to get to land to avoid this huge storm that is coming at us. It should be here in a few days. We expect to be tied up in Coffs Harbor tomorrow around mid-morning, afternoon time, where we’ll wait a few days until the weather passes and then we’ll continue on to our journey down to Sydney. And then we’ll continue on up to Brisbane. Mahalo for following us on hokulea.com. We’ll get back to you guys with more updates in the future.
