Hōkūleʻa has spent the past few days in beautiful Hāna bay. Today she is sailing the north side of Maui from Hāna to Lahaina. Hōkūleʻa will leave Lahaina on Monday for Kahoʻolawe. The crew will stay on Kahoʻolawe for 4 days doing trail work, navigation training, and performing a ceremony at Kealaikahiki. Kealaikahiki (the path to Tahiti), is the traditional departure point from Hawaiʻi to Tahiti.
