Pago Pago Educational Outreach

The crewmembers of the voyaging canoes Hōkūleʻa and Hikianalia are conducting educational outreach programs while in Pago Pago, American Samoa. Dockside activities include learning about knot tying, line handling, canoe tours, the star compass used by navigators, science experiments onboard Hikianalia, and making peace flags to share in future destinations. In the next several days, crewmembers look forward to engaging the local community through school visits and service projects.
