Aloha! I’m Hauʻoli Smith Gurtler, and I am the first mate on Hōkūleʻa. We are here in Whangarei, Aotearoa on our last day of our educational tours. We’ve had three schools today that have been fabulous. The weather today is awesome. We are leaving on Thursday (Wednesday Hawaiʻi Standard Time) to go to Auckland. We’ve had about 600 kids come through since we’ve been here in Whangarei. Everything has just been so amazing. The kids have been so supportive. So keep track of our Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage on Hokulea.com. Aloha!
