Waʻa Depart Rarotonga

Hōkūleʻa and Hikianalia have departed Rarotonga, Cook Islands at approximately 2:30pm Hawaii time. The crew now continues on to Aitutaki and eventually Pago Pago, Samoa. While on Rarotonga, the crew engaged in educational outreach activities with the local community alongside the Cook Island Voyaging Society, which cares for the voyaging canoe Marumaru Atua.
