Hōkūleʻa navigator Kaʻiulani Murphy discusses how the winds today are less than ideal for crewmembers to depart from Tahiti to the Tuamotus, en route to Hawaiʻi. Southeast winds, anticipated tomorrow, should allow for a favorable departure, according to Murphy.
