With links to the Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage, there is a new restoration effort to clear the waters of Puʻuloa (Pearl Harbor) of pollutants. 

Hōkūleʻa made a special visit into Puʻuloa or Pearl Harbor to learn about the inspirational work the communities are doing to protect and restore our natural and cultural resources.

Itʻs been hundreds of years since a deep sea voyaging canoe has paid homage to the Hawaiian community of Puʻuloa.

Today's update comes to us from none other than master navigator Nainoa Thompson en route to Puʻuloa, more commonly known today as Pearl Harbor
