Originally from the Island of Molokai, Keoki first set sail aboard Hōkūleʻa in 2003.
On this leg Keoki is hoping to retrace the footstep of his kūpuna who sailed before him. He’s also hoping that what he does on this voyage will make an impact and effect the people that will be surrounding him in the communities and ports he visits.
While out to sea, Keoki will miss his kids laughing and ice cream, but looks forward to the peacefulness that the rocking of the waʻa can bring.
