Doldrums Sail May 2021: Hōkūleʻa
Candido (Kaiya) Manatad IV from Waiāhole, Oʻahu first sailed on the Hōkūleʻa when he was a senior in high school in 2019. Being raised on the shores of Waiāhole, he has heard stories of the launch at Kualoa and to Kaiya, Hōkūleʻa has always been a part of his life in some way, shape or form.
