Kaʻolonā, from Oahu, is part of the ʻŌiwi TV team and will be documenting this leg of the sail from aboard Hikianalia.
His first sail ever in 2012 changed his life, by being able to experience crossing the channel and being able to feel the presence of his ancestors and the elements was unlike anything he ever experienced before or could imagine.
For him, fortunately the relationship between ʻŌiwi and PVS grew and was strengthened through the years and he got to watch as Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage was shaped became a reality. This will be his first deep sea sailing experience and he is humbled to play a part in this voyage and able to spread the story of Mālama Honua.
