Mike first sailed on Hōkūleʻa in 2002 and has served as watch captain aboard Hikianalia. For Mike, Hōkūleʻa represents a new, improved view of life, which he hopes the Worldwide Voyage will share with the world. While at sea, Mike appreciates the close connection he feels to his crew and surrounding nature.
